Jammu, 01 September 2025: As part of the ongoing Sewa Pakhwara (September 17 – October 2), being observed to mark the 75th Birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP Health & Medical Cell, in collaboration with the BJP Trader Cell, successfully organized a Free Eye Checkup Camp for the labour community at Narwal Mandi, Jammu.
J&K BJP President Sat Sharma (CA), accompanied by MLA Bahu Vikram Randhawa, All Cells Convener Ved Sharma, Convener BJP Health & Medical Cell Puneet Mahajan, Convener BJP Trader Cell Sham Langar, and President Fruit & Vegetable Market Narwal Sardar Surinder Singh Kala inaugurated the camp.
A dedicated team of doctors led by Dr. Pranay Mahajan from Chand Eye Clinic, Gandhi Nagar, extended their professional services to hundreds of patients. Beneficiaries underwent free eye checkups, diagnosis, and treatment, while free medicines were distributed to those in need.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma emphasized that the initiative was part of BJP’s broader mission under Sewa Pakhwara, dedicated to “service to society.” He stated that such camps ensure quality healthcare access to underprivileged sections and praised the collective efforts of doctors, BJP volunteers, and the market association.He further assured that patients requiring advanced treatments or surgeries will be supported under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, thus extending healthcare benefits beyond the camp itself.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from traders, labourers, and local residents, reflecting strong community involvement. This initiative once again reaffirmed BJP’s commitment, through its Health & Medical Cell and Trader Cell, towards promoting public health, social service, and community welfare across Jammu and Kashmir.
