BJP Celebrates Historic Maharashtra BMC Election Victory Across Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu/Bishnah | January 16, 2026 — The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) units across Jammu and Kashmir held grand celebrations today to mark the party’s landslide victory in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections.

Terming the win a historic milestone, party leaders and workers gathered in Jammu, Akhnoor, and Bishnah to distribute sweets and burst crackers.

The leadership characterized the triumph in Asia’s largest municipal corporation as a powerful endorsement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for development and a decisive mandate for transparent, corruption-free governance.

In Bishnah, the victory rally was led by J&K BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma, alongside Lok Sabha MP Jugal Kishore Sharma and former state chief Ravinder Raina. Addressing a charged crowd, Sat Sharma stated that the BMC results prove that urban voters across the nation have unwavering faith in the BJP’s ability to deliver world-class infrastructure and efficient administration.

Jugal Kishore Sharma echoed these sentiments, crediting the victory to the tireless efforts of grassroots activists and predicting a similar winning streak in upcoming local and regional polls.Parallel celebrations were held in Akhnoor, where J&K BJP General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul emphasized that the victory reflects the party’s disciplined organizational structure.

Meanwhile, at the BJP headquarters in Jammu, Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma asserted that the mandate serves as a crushing blow to dynastic politics. He remarked that the voters of Mumbai have rejected negative narratives in favor of stability and decisive leadership.

The events saw a massive turnout of senior leaders, including various MLAs and Mahila Morcha representatives, all hailing the result as a precursor to the party’s continued dominance in the national political landscape.
