Bhubaneswar Airport Drone Security: CISF and Odisha Police Conduct Advanced CUAS Awareness Session​

BHUBANESWAR | March 30, 2026:-​In a strategic move to fortify the security of critical aviation infrastructure, a comprehensive awareness session on Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (CUAS) was successfully conducted at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA).

The specialized training, held at the Aviation Security Group (ASG) Bhubaneswar, focused on reinforcing the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)’s preparedness against rapidly evolving aerial threats.

Led by subject matter experts from the Special Operation Group (SOG) of the Odisha Police, the session provided a deep dive into modern drone typologies and the shifting landscape of global threat perceptions, ensuring that on-ground personnel are equipped with the latest tactical knowledge.​

The program covered the full spectrum of operational anti-drone technologies, including the deployment of sophisticated RADAR systems, Radio Frequency (RF) detectors, and signal jammers.

Participants were also briefed on cutting-edge neutralization techniques, such as laser-based systems and integrated Command & Control (C2) frameworks designed for real-time threat response.

By proactively upgrading its technical capabilities and fostering inter-agency collaboration with the Odisha Police, the CISF continues to demonstrate its commitment to safeguarding the nation’s airports against next-generation security challenges.
