Bhaderwah 03 September :- The Neeru River, celebrated as the lifeline of the Bhaderwah valley, is currently surging at alarmingly high levels. Originating from the pristine Sonbain Glacier in the Kailash ranges and eventually meeting the Chenab at Pul Doda, the river is typically known for its serene beauty and crystal-clear waters that sustain local culture and ecosystems.
This dramatic change is a direct result of persistent inclement weather, including heavy rainfall, which has caused water levels to rise precipitously and currents to become dangerously strong. In response to the threat, the District Administration has issued a urgent public advisory.
Officials are strongly urging residents and visitors to exercise extreme caution. The public is advised to avoid going near the riverbanks entirely and to prioritize their personal safety. The administration’s message is clear: “Stay Safe, Stay Alert. Your Safety is Our Priority.”(File Photo)
