Bhaderwah Winter Carnival 2026 Kicks Off with Vibrant Cultural and Tourism Showcase

BHADERWAH, January 17, 2026 — The two-day Winter Carnival 2026 officially commenced today at Guldanda, Bhaderwah, marked by a high-spirited display of cultural and recreational activities.

Organized by the Department of Tourism, Jammu, in collaboration with the District Administration Doda and the Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA), the event successfully drew a large gathering of tourists and local residents.

DDC Chairman Doda, Dhananter Singh Kotwal, inaugurated the festivities as the Chief Guest, accompanied by MLA Bhaderwah, Dalip Singh Parihar, and other senior officials from the Tourism department and local administration.The carnival is designed to bolster winter tourism in the region, showcasing Bhaderwah’s breathtaking scenic beauty while providing a vital platform for local talent and cultural heritage.

Key officials, including SSP Doda Sandeep Mehta and ADC Bhaderwah Sunil Kumar Bhutyal, were present to support the initiative, which reflects a unified effort to establish Bhaderwah as a premier winter destination.

The celebration is set to conclude tomorrow, January 18, with a major musical event scheduled at the New Bus Stand in Kotli, Bhaderwah, which is expected to further enhance the festive atmosphere for visitors.
