Bangladeshi National Apprehended Near International Border Handed Over to Jammu Police
Jammu January 01, 2026:- The Border Security Force (BSF) has apprehended a Bangladeshi national near the International Border (IB) and handed him over to the Border Police Post (BPP) Gajansoo, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kanachak.
The individual, identified as 19-year-old Shariful Islam Bhuiyan, son of Mozibul Haque Bhuiyan, is a resident of Adra in the Comilla district of Bangladesh. He was intercepted by alert BSF troops while moving suspiciously in the vicinity of the border fence in the Gajansoo sector.
Following the handover, the Jammu Police have taken custody of the individual for questioning .
Preliminary investigations are focused on determining the motive behind his presence in the high-security border zone and whether he was aided by any local or cross-border handlers.
