Bandipora Police Organises Awareness Programme on New Criminal Laws and “Swachhata Hi Seva” Cleanliness Drives across the District
Bandipora, 30 September :- Bandipora Police today organised an Awareness Programme on New Criminal Laws at various educational institutions of the district, followed by “Swachhata Hi Seva” cleanliness drives at different police establishments, as part of the commemoration of the birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
A large number of students and teachers participated enthusiastically in the awareness programmes. During the sessions, students were sensitised about the key features of the newly introduced criminal laws and their importance in ensuring justice and safeguarding citizens’ rights.
Subsequently, “Swachhata Hi Seva” cleanliness drives were carried out at police establishments across the district. The drives spread the message of eliminating open defecation through toilet construction, improving solid and liquid waste management, eradicating manual scavenging, and fostering behavioural change through awareness campaigns to promote sanitation and hygiene.
On the occasion, officers highlighted the ideals of national integration, unity, and harmony, and paid tribute to the immense contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in uniting the nation.
Teachers, officers, and locals appreciated the initiative of Bandipora Police for engaging youth through awareness campaigns and community-driven activities aimed at building a responsible and informed society.
Bandipora Police reaffirmed its commitment to continue organising such community-centric programmes for the welfare and awareness of the public, particularly the student community.
