Bandipora Police Conclude Volleyball Tournament Finals Under Civic Action Programme
BANDIPORA, MARCH 20, 2026: Bandipora Police successfully hosted the grand finale of its district-wide volleyball tournament today at Government Higher Secondary School, Kaloosa, as part of its ongoing Civic Action Programme.
The event was headlined by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bandipora, Ajaz Ahmed Zargar-JKPS, who presided as the chief guest alongside senior police officials and the Commanding Officer of 14 RR Army, who attended as a special guest. Designed to foster a robust sports culture and strengthen the vital bond between the police and the local community, the tournament saw intense competition and high levels of youth engagement throughout its duration.
The championship culminated in a high-stakes, nail-biting final match between Checkrehipora and Nadim Sports Gamroo. Following a series of closely contested sets that showcased remarkable athleticism, Nadim Sports Gamroo emerged victorious to claim the title. During the closing ceremony, the winning team, the runners-up from Checkrehipora, and the tournament’s “best spiker” were honored with trophies, appreciation certificates, and cash prizes.
