”Urges youth to uphold Gandhi’s message of unity, non-violence, equality”

New Delhi, Oct 3: Former Chief Minister of J&K and Chairman Gandhi Global Family, Ghulam Nabi Azad today inaugurated the Global Youth Festival 2025 at Sant Nirankari Bhawan, Panipat. The festival, beginning on Gandhi Jayanti, is aimed at educating and engaging the younger generation on Mahatma Gandhi’s eternal values of truth, non-violence and justice.

Addressing the gathering, Azad emphasised that Gandhiji’s principles remain a guiding light for humanity and must be carried forward by today’s youth to build a just, inclusive and peaceful world. He said, “Gandhiji’s ideology was one that united people. He never indulged in division or discrimination.

Today, it is the responsibility of the young generation to spread this message that there should be no conflict, no violence and no discrimination of any kind, whether based on caste or religion. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, we are all one, and every community is part of this nation. Gandhiji’s India can move forward only when we all work together for our country.”

The Global Youth Festival will host a series of discussions, cultural activities and awareness programs designed to inspire young minds to imbibe Gandhian ideals and translate them into action in their personal and social lives. It was organised by Gandhi Global Family, in coordination with Sant Nirankari Mission & National Youth Project.

Among others who were present on the occasion were Padma S.P. Verma & Ram Mohan Roy of GGF & others. The event witnessed participation from students, youth leaders, academicians, and members of civil society from across the country, reflecting a collective commitment to strengthening the Gandhian vision of truth and non-violence.
