Awantipora District Police Lines Hosts Full Dress Rehearsal for Republic Day 2026
AWANTIPORA, J&K | JANUARY 24, 2026 – Preparations for the upcoming national celebrations reached a peak today as a full dress rehearsal for the Republic Day Parade-2026 was successfully conducted at the District Police Lines (DPL) Awantipora.
The ceremony was presided over by Tehsildar Awantipora, Shakeel Ahmad, who unfurled the National Flag and took the salute during the march-past. The parade featured disciplined contingents from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, J&K Armed Police, CRPF, and Home Guards, alongside enthusiastic participation from students representing various local schools.
The event was attended by high-ranking officials, including the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Awantipora, Additional SP Awantipora, and the DySP DAR DPL, alongside senior representatives from the civil administration and other departments.
Beyond the military display, the rehearsal was marked by vibrant cultural performances presented by students and local artists, showcasing the spirit of the occasion.
