Assam Rifles Hosts Vital National Vaccination Day Awareness Program for Nagaland Communities

KEZO TOWN, NAGALAND, March 22, 2026 — In a dedicated effort to enhance rural healthcare and promote life-saving immunization practices, the Assam Rifles organized an intensive awareness session for the residents of Kezo Town and Kezo Basa in Nagaland to commemorate National Vaccination Day.

The initiative sought to bridge the gap in preventive healthcare by educating local caregivers on the critical importance of the Universal Immunization Programme (UIP) in safeguarding children against preventable diseases and significantly lowering regional mortality and morbidity rates.

A total of 58 participants, primarily consisting of women and children, engaged in the interactive session, where they received expert guidance on vaccine schedules and the long-term benefits of early childhood immunization.

This outreach program underscores the continued commitment of the Assam Rifles to community welfare and the fostering of a healthier, more resilient population through proactive medical education and regional support.
