Assam Rifles Enhances Water Access in Nagaland with New Borewell Under Operation Sadbhavana

CHUMOUKEDIMA | MARCH 18, 2026 — In a continued effort to improve rural infrastructure and community welfare, the Assam Rifles, operating under the aegis of the Spear Corps, officially dedicated a newly constructed borewell to the residents of Amaluma Village in Chumoukedima, Nagaland.

Executed under the humanitarian framework of Operation Sadbhavana, this project addresses a critical need for the local population by ensuring consistent access to safe and potable drinking water.

This initiative highlights the military’s commitment to the “Lifelines Delivered with Care” mission, fostering stronger civil-military relations while promoting health and sustainable development in the remote regions of Northeast India.
