Assam Rifles Delivers Essential Healthcare to Remote Manipur Through Kaiphundai Medical Camp

TAMENGLONG, March 28, 2026 — Under the mission of “Care Beyond Boundaries,” the Assam Rifles successfully conducted a comprehensive medical outreach camp in the remote village of Kaiphundai, located in the Tamenglong district of Manipur.

This humanitarian initiative was specifically designed to bridge the healthcare gap in isolated border regions, bringing vital medical services and health awareness directly to the grassroots level.

By focusing on the well-being of underserved populations, the Assam Rifles provided a critical safety net for residents who otherwise face significant geographical barriers to accessing standard clinical facilities.

A total of 54 villagers benefited from the professional medical consultations and treatments provided during the camp, including 32 women, 14 children, and 8 men.

Beyond immediate check-ups and the distribution of essential medicines, the medical team engaged with the community to foster long-term health awareness and hygiene practices.

This successful outreach reflects the ongoing commitment of the Assam Rifles to go beyond their security mandate, actively contributing to the socio-economic upliftment and physical health of local communities across the Northeast.
