Assam Rifles Conducts Awareness Drives Across Nagaland and Manipur to Empower Youth
KOHIMA, MARCH 25, 2026 — In a continued effort to foster safety, health, and academic growth among the youth in Northeast India, the Assam Rifles, operating under the aegis of the Spear Corps, recently organized a series of comprehensive awareness sessions across Nagaland and Manipur.
At Dainty Buds Higher Secondary School in Kohima, students participated in a critical fire safety program designed to equip them with emergency response skills and preventative knowledge. Simultaneously, a dedicated health session was conducted in Ziphu, Nagaland, to raise awareness about Tuberculosis (TB) symptoms and treatment, aiming to strengthen community health resilience.
The initiative extended into Manipur, where an educational awareness drive was held at Jwalamukhi to inspire local students and provide guidance on various career and learning opportunities.
By addressing these diverse pillars of social welfare—ranging from life-saving safety drills to public health education and academic mentorship—the Assam Rifles continues to play a pivotal role in the holistic development and security of the region’s younger generation.
