Arunachal DGP Dr. S.D. Singh Jamwal Visits TLC Region to Bolster Security Coordination

ITANAGAR | January 31, 2026 :- In a strategic move to fortify regional stability, the Director General of Police (DGP) of Arunachal Pradesh, Dr. S.D. Singh Jamwal, IPS, conducted a comprehensive two-day security review across the Tirap, Changlang, and Longding (TLC) regions on January 29–30, 2026. During his visit, the DGP engaged in high-level discussions with the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Assam Rifles in Lekhapani, focusing on the evolving security landscape of these sensitive districts. Dr. Jamwal specifically commended the seamless inter-agency coordination and the success of intelligence-led operations that have been pivotal in neutralizing threats. Emphasizing a holistic approach to safety, he lauded the ongoing community-centric efforts that bridge the gap between security forces and local residents, ensuring long-term peace and sustainable stability in the frontier state.
