ARTRAC Chief Lt Gen Devendra Sharma Inaugurates NFS Advance Training Centre at MCTE Mhow to Forge Future-Ready Tech Warriors

MHOW, February 27, 2026 — Advancing India’s vision for a technologically superior military, Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Army Training Command (ARTRAC), visited the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) in Mhow to review state-of-the-art training initiatives.

The highlight of the visit was the inauguration of the NFS Advance Training Centre, a groundbreaking, unique Pan-India tri-services facility designed to modernize network security and signal intelligence.

During the visit, the Army Commander witnessed live demonstrations by student officers who successfully integrated legacy systems with the new Network For Spectrum (NFS) framework, showcasing a seamless transition to next-generation communication.

Lt General Sharma also conducted an in-depth inspection of the Drone Training Node, Electronic Warfare divisions, and Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) labs, where he was briefed on the specialized training being imparted to young officers.

Lauding MCTE for its pivotal role in national security, the Army Commander commended the institution for its dedication to shaping “tech-warriors” capable of dominating the modern, multi-domain electronic battlefield.
