ARO Almora Empowers NCC Cadets through Motivational Youth Outreach Program

ALMORA, March 21, 2026 — In a dedicated effort to shape the next generation of India’s military leadership, the Army Recruiting Office (ARO) Almora, operating under the Zonal Recruiting Office (UP & Uttarakhand), organized a high-impact youth outreach programme at Gorkha Hall.

The event aimed to inspire National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets to pursue careers in the Indian Armed Forces while emphasizing their pivotal role in national development.

By bringing together aspiring cadets and seasoned military veterans, the initiative served as a platform for mentorship, bridging the gap between classroom training and the real-world demands of military service.

The highlight of the session was an engaging and interactive lecture featuring Maj Gen Manish Kumar, YSM, SM, ADG ZRO Lucknow, alongside Col Jayant Thapa, SC (Retd). During the discourse, the General Officer underscored the indispensable values of discipline, unwavering courage, and high morale as the bedrock of a successful military career.

He encouraged the cadets to internalize these principles and remain steadfast in their commitment to nation-building. The program concluded on a high note, successfully instilling a renewed sense of purpose and confidence among the participants, many of whom expressed a strengthened resolve to serve the nation with pride and distinction.
