Army hosts Iftar Party at 12 sector headquarter at Balapora Shopian

Shopian March 14,2026 :-Continuing its long-standing tradition of engaging with local communities during the holy month of Ramadan, Indian Army’s 12 sector Under Victor Force stationed at Balapora Shopian organised an Iftar gathering.

The event was held as a gesture of solidarity and goodwill, allowing the Army to join Locals in observing the sacred month.The Iftar was attended by a large number of locals, including elders and youth, who came together to break their fast and interact with Army personnel in a spirit of communal harmony.

As Ramadan is a month of blessings, we decided to organise four Iftar gatherings with the local community during the month.These meaningful events help bring the Army and the people closer together.

Expressing gratitude to the local community for their unwavering support and cooperation GOC victor force Major General Dhananjay Joshi attended the event and interacted with members.The Islamic holy month of Ramadan is a time for Muslims all over the world to renew their focus on spiritual life and its practical application in daily life.

The Indian Army in a small way joined in their celebrations. Meanwhile, the event was attended by the Top Police officials, MLAs, Senior Politicians, Civilians of both Pulwama and Shopian district,Media persons and Administrative official’s.
