Poonch 20th August :- Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, the Army Commander of Northern Command conducted a visit to the Poonch sector to personally commend the troops for their resilient and swift action in the highly successful Ops Shiv Shakti on July 30, 2025.
During the operation, security forces neutralized two terrorists and recovered a large cache of war-like stores, marking a significant counter-terrorism achievement following the recent Ops Sindoor. Throughout his visit, General Sharma praised all ranks for their high morale, unwavering readiness, and steadfast dedication in demanding circumstances. He emphasized the critical need for maintaining constant vigilance and sustained alertness to preserve peace and security in the region.
