Army Commander Northern Command Inaugurated special Cataract Eye Surgery camp in JK’s Udhampur

Udhampur 19 November :- A mega cataract surgery eye camp from 19 to 22 Nov 2025 is being Organized at Udhampur by Command Hospital Northern Command in collaboration with the surgical team of Army Hospital Research and Referral, New Delhi. The event is being conducted under the aegis of Headquarter Northern Command and Directorate General of Armed Forces Medical Services.

The event was inaugurated by Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, SYSM, PVSM, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Northern Command. Operation Drishti is being conducted as part of Operation Sadbhavna and is another step towards benefitting the people of J&K in the most critical sector of healthcare.

The event shall further strengthen the bond between the people and Amy.The four days camp, scheduled from November 19 to 22, will see a large number of beneficiaries from far flung areas of Jammu and Kashmir, including remote villages in Udhampur, Doda, Rajouri, Poonch, Bhaderwah, Ramban etc. being provided with quality cataract screening and advanced surgery under a team of highly qualified specialists.
