Jammu, 30 September 30:In the ongoing fortnight special drive, Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of Jammu and Kashmir Police today destroyed seized narcotic contrabands in 12 registered cases following due process of law.
The destruction was carried out by the Drug Destruction Committee headed by SSP ANTF Jammu,in compliance with the orders of the Hon’ble Courts and in accordance with the standing guidelines.
The contrabands destroyed included:Charas – 11 Kg 919 Grams Spasmo Proxyvon Plus Capsules / Proxivon Spas Capsules – 33,805 capsules, Alprazolam Tablets – 855 tablets,Codeine Phosphate Cough Syrup – 518 bottlesThe ANTF reiterated its commitment to intensify the fight against drug menace in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The exercise reflects the resolve of J&K Police to ensure that seized narcotics are permanently removed from circulation through lawful and transparent means.The general public is once again appealed to extend cooperation by sharing actionable information about drug traffickers and peddlers so that this social evil can be eradicated from society.
