Anantnag District Police Lines Hosts Full Dress Rehearsal for Republic Day 2026

ANANTNAG, J&K | JANUARY 24, 2026 – Final preparations for the 77th Republic Day were successfully showcased today during a full-dress rehearsal held at the District Police Lines in Anantnag.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Sandeep Singh Bali, unfurled the National Flag, inspected the parade, and took the salute during an impressive march-past. The ceremonial event was attended by high-ranking officials, including SP Headquarters Anantnag and DySP DAR DPL Anantnag, along with several representatives from the civil administration and police department.

The parade featured disciplined and well-coordinated contingents from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, J&K Armed Police, CRPF, and Home Guards, alongside enthusiastic students from various local schools.

Adding to the patriotic atmosphere, students and local artists performed rehearsals of vibrant cultural programs that highlighted the region’s rich heritage. The smooth execution of the day’s proceedings marks the completion of official preparations, ensuring a dignified and well-organized celebration for the main event on January 26.
