Akhilesh Yadav announced the dissolution of Party’s Jammu Kashmir state unit

Lucknow, Aug 18: Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday announced the dissolution of the party unit of Jammu Kashmir with immediate effect.If party sources are to be believed, a new unit of the party will be formed soon.

This information has been given in a statement issued under the signature of Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav. However, party leaders say that the party did not get success in the recently concluded assembly elections in Jammu Kashmir after which it was being speculated that Akhilesh Yadav can take strict action anytime.It is worth noting that the Samajwadi Party suffered the biggest setback in the Jammu Kashmir elections.

Akhilesh Yadav, who is trying to expand his party outside Uttar Pradesh, had fielded candidates on 20 seats in Jammu Kashmir.Out of these, 5 seats were from Jammu and 15 seats were from Kashmir.However, SP was not able to win even a single seat in the elections.

In such a situation, this was considered a big setback for the Samajwadi Party, which had performed brilliantly in Uttar Pradesh in the Lok Sabha elections.The seats on which SP had fielded candidates included Baramulla, Bandipora, Wagoora Kreeri, Karnah, Pattan, Kupwara, Gulmarg, Rafibad, Trehgam, Lolab, Vijaypur, Udhampur West, Chenani, Nagrota, Hazratbal, Budgam, Beedwah, Habbakdal, Idgah seat.
