Air India to Boost International Capacity with 36 Additional Flights to Europe and Canada
GURUGRAM, March 16, 2026 — In response to a sustained surge in international travel demand triggered by the ongoing situation in West Asia, Air India has announced the operation of 36 additional flights to premier destinations across Europe and North America.
Scheduled to run between March 19 and March 28, 2026, these supplementary services will connect major Indian hubs like Delhi and Mumbai to key global cities, including London (Heathrow), Frankfurt, Zurich, and Toronto.
This strategic capacity augmentation is set to add 10,012 seats across five critical routes, providing much-needed relief and more flexible travel options for passengers during a period where international transit remains complex and limited.
This latest expansion follows a previous ramp-up of 78 flights earlier in the month, underscoring the airline’s commitment to maintaining global connectivity despite regional challenges.
The additional schedule includes frequent rotations such as the Delhi-Frankfurt route operating almost daily and multiple weekly frequencies to London and Toronto.
Travelers can access these newly opened seats through Air India’s official website, mobile app, and authorized travel agents.
As part of its broader “Vihaan.AI” transformation program under Tata Sons, Air India continues to modernize its fleet and infrastructure, aiming to solidify its position as a world-class global carrier with a deep-rooted Indian heritage.
