Banihal 21 November :- Police Station Banihal has achieved a major breakthrough by arresting an accused who had been absconding for over three decades in a 1992 TADA and RPC case.
The arrested individual has been identified as Mohd Farooq S/O Abdul Gaffar, R/O Chareel, Banihal, who was involved in FIR No. 108/1992 under Sections 3/4 TADA Act and Sections 395, 365, 436 RPC.The accused had been evading arrest for years and was wanted in connection with a long-pending Arrest Warrant under Section 512 CrPC, issued by the Hon’ble 3rd Additional Sessions Judge, Jammu vide Order No. 609–13/3rd ADSJ dated 10/04/2024.
Despite sustained efforts, he remained out of reach until credible inputs recently surfaced.Acting swiftly, a police team from Police Station Banihal traced and apprehended the absconder today, thereby executing the pending court warrant.
