Doda 08 September :- Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Miraj Malik has been arrested under the Public Safety Act (PSA).
This is the first time in the history of Jammu and Kashmir that an MLA has been charged with PSA.Official sources have confirmed that Meraj Malik has been detained following multiple FIRs and daily diary reports. So far, 18 FIRs have been registered against Malik and he has been listed in 10 dailies.
Doda police had prepared a dossier and sent it to the Doda administration, alleging that “the MLA used abusive language against doctors and government officials, incited youth and obstructed the distribution of relief in the district.
As per Sources Meraj Malik was initially detained at the Doda Post Office, where there was a ban on meeting him, and today he was formally booked under the PSA. According to officials, “more people may also be booked under the PSA to ensure law and order.(Agencies )
