8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah concluding ceremony held at Mahore
REASI, OCTOBER 18: The concluding ceremony of the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah was organized with great enthusiasm by Poshan Project Mahore.
District Programme Officer, Poshan was the Chief Guest, while the Tehsildar Chassana attended as the Guest of Honour.
During the event, various health and nutrition stalls were displayed, showcasing the collective efforts made to promote nutritional awareness, health education and community participation.
Special awareness sessions were held on centrally sponsored schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), Supplementary Nutrition Programme (SNP), and Health & Hygiene initiatives, highlighting the importance of maternal care, child nutrition and preventive healthcare.
Beneficiaries of different Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) also took active part in the programme. On this occasion, baby kits were distributed among nursing mothers and pre-school kits were provided to beneficiaries aged 6 months to 6 years, to encourage early childhood care, learning and holistic development.
Awareness on adolescent health, anemia prevention, balanced diet and importance of vaccination was also shared. Demonstrations and interactive sessions on handwashing, safe drinking water and preparation of low-cost nutritious recipes were conducted to promote healthy habits at the grassroots level.
Speaking on the occasion, the District Programme Officer appreciated the efforts of Supervisors, Health and Nutrition Mobilizers, Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) and Anganwadi Helpers (AWHs) for their active participation and dedication throughout the month-long campaign. She emphasized the need to sustain the efforts of Poshan Maah activities throughout the year to achieve the vision of a “Malnutrition-Free India.”
The ceremony concluded with a Vote of Thanks presented by Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Mahore, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the District Programme Officer, Tehsildar Chassana, line departments, staff members and all participants for their valuable cooperation and contribution. She acknowledged the tireless work of field functionaries and urged them to continue spreading awareness about nutrition, health and hygiene in their respective areas.
The event ended on a positive note, celebrating the spirit of “Suposhit Bharat – Sashakt Bharat” and reaffirming the commitment towards building a healthy and nourished community.
