Srinagar 18 October :- Continues its relentless efforts to eradicate the menace of drug trafficking and abuse from the Union Territory, Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of Jammu and Kashmir arrested 03 persons and recovered heroin-like contraband substance.
ANTF Kashmir has registered a Case vide FIR No. 04/2025 under Sections 8/21/29 of the NDPS Act following the recovery of heroin-like contraband substance weighing approximately 75 grams. Acting on specific information developed by ANTF regarding narcotics trafficking, ANTF teams conducted a successful operation that led to the apprehension of three individuals on the spot.
The arrested persons have been identified as Rayees Khan son of Wazir Khan resident of Trikanjan Uri, Sajawat Hussain son of Sakhawat Hussain resident of Bandi Uri and Afsara Siyab son of Ab. Majeed resident of Namba Uri, Baramulla. The contraband substance was seized in strict accordance with legal procedures.
Further investigation is in progress to unearth the forward and backward linkages of the drug network and identify other individuals involved in this illicit trade.The ANTF Jammu and Kashmir reiterates its commitment to continue its drive against narcotics smuggling and to dismantle the networks that are responsible for pushing drugs into society.
