Kathua, October 09: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rajesh Sharma, today chaired a meeting of Revenue Officers to review the progress on major land and revenue-related initiatives being implemented across the district. The meeting aimed at assessing the pace of work and ensuring timely achievement of targets under various components of revenue administration.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on multiple agenda points including Gati Shakti Digitization of Maps, Digitization of Jamabandis, Recreation of Massavis, and Disposal of DP Cases etc. The progress on Complaints received through ACB, Samadhaan and CPGRAMS, Land Acquisition Cases, PSGA Services (Fard issuance, Demarcation, and Attestation of Mutation), and SVAMITVA Scheme was also reviewed threadbare.While taking a detailed review of each component, the Deputy Commissioner called upon the officers to work in a mission mode to achieve the set targets within stipulated timelines.
He stressed that the digitization of land records and updation of maps must be completed on priority to ensure transparency and accuracy in the revenue record system.The DC further directed the officers to expedite progress under the SVAMITVA scheme and ensure 100 percent coverage of rural areas for property card generation. He also emphasized prompt disposal of DP cases and complaints received through grievance platforms, maintaining accountability at all levels.Highlighting the importance of PSGA services, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the field functionaries to ensure timely delivery of services like issuance of Fard, demarcation, and attestation of mutation to meet the expectations of citizens and strengthen public trust in the revenue administration.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Vishavjeet Singh, Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Kathua, Vishav Partap Singh, Tehsildar Kathua, and Tehsildar Nagri, Officers who joined the meeting virtually included ADC Basohli, ADC Billawar, SDM Bani, and SDM Hiranagar along with Tehsildars from other Tehsils. The DC appreciated the efforts made so far and reiterated that consistent monitoring, coordination, and timely reporting are key to successful implementation of all initiatives under the Revenue Department.
