Udhampur 10th August :- Lieutenant General Vijay B Nair, Chief of Staff (COS) of the Indian Army’s Northern Command opened a one-day seminar on Discipline & Vigilance and Human Rights at Udhampur, highlighting the Army’s dedication to maintaining ethical principles and legal codes in operations.
The seminar was led by specialist speakers from the Ministry of Defence’s Integrated Headquarters who presented informative talks on policy guidelines, legal procedures, and best practices for the management of sensitive cases. The seminar was intended to raise awareness among military personnel and stakeholders, and it prepared them to move forward in today’s complex socio-economic and security situation. By instilling greater awareness of human rights tenets in addition to operational discipline, the Northern Command reiterated its commitment to professionalism, responsibility, and ethical behaviour in ensuring national security.
