Joint Military and Police Operation Apprehends Active NSCN Cadre in Assam

JAGUN, August 10, 2026 — In a successful joint operation, security forces apprehended an active cadre of the NSCN (KYA) faction at Jagun Ghat in the Tinsukia district of Assam. The operation was conducted collaboratively by the Assam Rifles, units of the Indian Army under Spear Corps, and the Assam Police.

During the search operation, security personnel recovered one weapon and a magazine from the operative’s possession. The timely intervention by the joint forces successfully neutralized an impending threat to the region’s peace and security.
