Indian Navy Chief Admiral Krishna Swaminathan Begins Official Mauritius Visit to Enhance Regional Security

​NEW DELHI, AUGUST 10, 2026:-+​Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Krishna Swaminathan has arrived in Mauritius for a four-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral maritime cooperation and deepening defense ties.

The visit, taking place from August 10 to 13, highlights India’s ongoing commitment to enhancing strategic partnerships within the Indian Ocean Region with Mauritius, a vital partner in regional stability.​Throughout the four-day tour, Admiral Swaminathan will meet with senior leadership of the Government of Mauritius to deliberate on critical issues of mutual interest.

The agenda focuses on bolstering maritime security, defense cooperation, capacity building, and joint military collaboration.
