SRINAGAR, July 25 — Srinagar Police attached two residential properties valued at approximately ₹1.35 crore on Saturday as part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan.
Action was taken against property belonging to Aqib Farooq in Hyderpora, valued at around ₹70 lakh, and property belonging to Azan Parvaiz Giltsaaz in Hazratbal, worth roughly ₹65 lakh, under relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.Investigations revealed that both immovable assets were acquired using proceeds from illegal narcotics trafficking.
Police officials stated that confiscating crime-derived assets is central to dismantling the financial infrastructure of drug networks and preventing offenders from profiting off criminal enterprises. Authorities reiterated their commitment to creating a drug-free region and urged citizens to share confidential information regarding illegal trade activities.
