SRINAGAR, July 25 — Rainfall has ceased across most parts of the Kashmir and Jammu divisions, with precipitation continuing only in select pockets of Ramban, Reasi, and Udhampur districts as of 8:00 PM on Saturday.
The Meteorological Department forecasts generally cloudy skies overnight with brief spells of light rain possible in isolated areas. Early Sunday morning may bring a spell of light to moderate rain or thundershowers to a few districts in the Jammu division, followed by another spell across many parts of Jammu and Kashmir from Sunday afternoon through the evening, after which overall weather conditions are expected to improve.
In light of the weather conditions, authorities have issued a public advisory highlighting significant risks of landslides, mudslides, shooting stones, and rockfalls in hilly districts and vulnerable zones across the Union Territory. Residents and travelers are strongly advised to stay away from riverbanks, streams, nallahs, and landslide-prone areas to ensure safety during the forecasted spells.
