REASI/RAMBAN, July 25 — Emergency responders, including the SDRF, local police, and district administration, launched joint operations following landslides and shooting stones in Reasi and Ramban districts. In Reasi, a landslide near the Army area in Mahore endangered three to four residential houses. All residents remain safe, and team members from the SDRF, Army, local administration, and police are actively relocating the affected families to safer locations.
Authorities have advised the public to avoid the impacted area and follow official instructions while rescue operations continue.Meanwhile in Ramban, an SDRF team from the Ramsoo Yatra Assistance Camp partnered with local police to respond to reports of shooting stones from a hillside near Karlana Village along Bisleri Nallah.
The falling debris posed a direct threat to nearby residential structures near the local Shiv Mandir. Teams conducted a public awareness drive on site, urging villagers to remain alert, steer clear of vulnerable zones, and immediately report any fresh emergencies to local authorities.
SDRF personnel and local officials continue to monitor both locations closely to protect public safety.
