RAJOURI, July 24: Rajouri Police intercepted and arrested two drug peddlers during a routine patrolling and checking drive conducted in Nowshera.
The arrested individuals, identified as Jatinder Kumar and Amit Sharma, both residents of Kotranka, were found in possession of approximately six grams of a heroin-like contraband substance following a search by the police team.
Officers seized the illegal contraband on the spot and registered a formal case under relevant sections of the NDPS Act at Police Station Nowshera. Further investigation into the incident is currently underway, with local law enforcement reiterating its commitment to taking strict legal action against drug trafficking and eliminating substance abuse across the district.
