SAMBA, July 24 — Samba Police organized an extensive Long-Range Patrolling exercise and tactical mock drill along National Highway 44 to reinforce security preparedness and heighten vigilance.
Led by the Additional Superintendent of Police Samba, the exercise featured participation from the Special Operations Group Samba, Ghagwal Police Station personnel, Quick Response Teams, and Road Opening Party units, covering a 6.5-kilometer patrol stretch from Jatwal to Tapyal.
During the movement, operational teams received detailed briefings on the prevailing threat environment alongside directions to sustain maximum alertness and responsiveness. The program included a simulated Cordon and Search Operation at Bein Bridge in Tapyal, where SOG and Quick Response Team personnel executed tactical maneuvers to test operational coordination and readiness.
The successful drill concluded at Ghagwal, highlighting ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to maintain a strong security setup, refine emergency response capabilities, and ensure public safety along vital highway corridors.
