REASI, JULY 22, 2026 — Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Kumar Abhishek, conducted a comprehensive inspection of District Hospital Reasi today to evaluate healthcare delivery, patient amenities, and overall operational efficiency. During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner toured various wards and departments, interacting with medical authorities to ensure high standards of hygiene and efficient service delivery for the public. A key focus of the assessment was the ongoing construction of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Directing officials to accelerate its operationalisation, DC Abhishek instructed the team to identify essential equipment needs and submit a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for required facilities to render the NICU fully functional at the earliest.
Addressing key infrastructure challenges, hospital officials briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the repair and maintenance status of the hospital’s lift and oxygen generation plant. In response, DC Abhishek assured prompt intervention, stating the matters would be escalated to the Director of Health Services for immediate resolution. The inspection was attended by several senior administration and health officials, including Additional Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Kumar, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Kolhi, and Chief Planning Officer along with other department officers.
