MISSAMARI, Assam — July 21, 2026: In an inspiring initiative aimed at motivating India’s youth, around 450 National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets visited the Army Aviation base in Missamari, Assam, where they gained firsthand insight into the country’s frontline military aviation capabilities.
During the visit, Army Aviators from the Eastern Command introduced the cadets to the Indian Army’s formidable helicopter fleet, including the indigenous Light Combat Helicopter Prachand, the Advanced Light Helicopter Dhruv, and the versatile Cheetah. The aviators briefed the young cadets on the distinct roles, advanced operational capabilities, and tactical deployment of these aircraft in contemporary military operations, offering them an immersive experience into the challenging missions and dedication required within the Army Aviation Corps.
