Official meteorological data highlights that Poonch (204.5 mm), Rajouri (186.2 mm), Reasi (184.5 mm), and Udhampur (155.2 mm) were also severely impacted by the continuous downpours. The heavy deluge has resulted in human casualties alongside extensive damage to public infrastructure and private property, prompting disaster management authorities to deploy emergency rescue teams and issue safety advisories.
With the Meteorological Department forecasting further wet weather across the union territory, local officials urge residents in hilly and flood-prone zones to remain on high alert and avoid hazardous water bodies.
