RAJOURI/JAMMU, July 21, 2026 — Security forces averted a potential tragedy in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district late Monday evening after discovering and safely destroying an Improvised Explosive Device (IED).
According to official sources, an Indian Army search party detected the explosive substance in the Argi Dalhori village during a routine area-domination patrol. Following the discovery, a specialized Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was immediately deployed to the site.
The expert team successfully neutralized the device in a controlled explosion at around 10:00 PM without causing any injuries or damage to local property, maintaining security and calm across the area.
