India and Thailand agree to boost military ties and maritime cooperation at defence dialogue
BANGKOK, June 17, 2026 — India and Thailand have reviewed their bilateral defence relations and discussed new avenues to expand military engagements, maritime cooperation, and defence industry collaboration.
The 10th India-Thailand Defence Dialogue, held in Bangkok, was co-chaired by Thailand Defence Deputy Permanent Secretary Admiral Nuttapol Diewvanich and Indian Defence Ministry Joint Secretary Satyajit Mohanty.
Both sides exchanged views on regional and global security developments, emphasizing a shared commitment to strengthening their strategic partnership to promote long-term peace, stability, and prosperity across the Indo-Pacific region.
