Srinagar Police attaches residential property worth 1 crore of notorious drug peddler in Anantnag
SRINAGAR, May 26, 2026 — In a major crackdown against narcotics trafficking under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, the Srinagar Police has attached an immovable property valued at approximately 1 crore belonging to a notorious drug peddler in the Anantnag district.
The attached asset is a residential house owned by Aamir Hassan Mir, a resident of Bonpora Dupatyar in Bijbehara. The legal action was executed under Section 68(F) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act following a narcotics case registered at the Shergari Police Station in Srinagar.
The attachment proceedings were conducted in the presence of the Executive Magistrate First Class in Bijbehara after completing all necessary legal formalities, officially preventing the property from being sold, transferred, or modified without prior permission from the competent authority.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police has reiterated its firm commitment to dismantling local narcotics networks and taking stringent legal action against individuals involved in drug trafficking.
Authorities have also appealed to the general public to cooperate and share any relevant information regarding drug peddling to help build a drug-free society.
