Jammu and Kashmir government declares special holiday for schools on Eid ul Azha

JAMMU, May 26, 2026 — The Directorate of School Education Jammu has announced a special holiday for all educational institutions in the region in view of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha celebrations.

According to an official order issued by the competent authority, all government as well as recognized private schools operating across the Jammu Division will observe the holiday on May 29, 2026.

The directive has been formally circulated to key administrative departments, including the School Education Department Civil Secretariat and the Information Department, to ensure widespread publicity through print and electronic media.

Local education officials, including all joint directors and chief education officers of the Jammu Division, have been instructed to ensure strict compliance with the order within their respective jurisdictions.
