Garuds graduate with maroon berets at Chandinagar Air Force Station
CHANDINAGAR, MAY 23, 2026 :- The Western Air Command of the Indian Air Force announced the successful completion of rigorous Special Forces training with the Maroon Beret Ceremonial Parade for young Garud commandos at Air Force Station Chandinagar.
During the event, the newly inducted trainees showcased a variety of advanced combat skills, which included hostage rescue operations, obstacle crossing, rappelling, and martial arts demonstrations, highlighting their operational readiness and professionalism.
Air Vice Marshal Rahul Gupta, ACAS Ops Space, attended the ceremony as the chief guest to congratulate the graduating warriors. He presented the coveted Maroon Beret, the Garud Proficiency Badge, and Special Forces Tabs to the successful commandos, marking their official entry into the elite force.
