CDS General Anil Chauhan reviews construction progress of new HQ IDS complex at Mehram Nagar

New Delhi May 22,2026 :- General Anil Chauhan CDS reviewed the progress of construction of the new construction site of Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS) at Mehram Nagar.

Marking the Silver Jubilee Year celebrations, a tree plantation drive was also undertaken by the Senior Officers of HQ IDS , during which the CDS planted a “Sindoor” tree.

During the visit, the CDS interacted with construction workers and enquired about their well-being, appreciating their contribution towards the creation of this important national institution.

He also engaged with the staff of HQ IDS and highlighted the significance of the new establishment in strengthening organisational cohesion and efficiency.

The new HQ IDS complex will bring the organisation under a single roof, providing greater permanency, stability and a stronger institutional foundation for the integrated functioning of the Defence Forces.
