Chandrayaan 3 mission wins prestigious 2026 AIAA Goddard Astronautics Award for historic lunar landing Says Dr Singh

NEW DELHI, May 22, 2026 — India’s Chandrayaan 3 mission has been honored with the prestigious 2026 AIAA Goddard Astronautics Award, marking the highest recognition in the field of astronautics.

Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh Posted on X that the award was conferred on the mission in recognition of its historic soft landing near the south pole of the Moon and its significant contributions to future lunar exploration.
