Fire and Fury Corps Chief of Staff visits Ladakh emergency and data centers

LEH, May 20, 2026:- Chief of Staff of the Fire and Fury Corps, Major General Sudhanshu Sharma, visited the Emergency Operations Centre and the Ladakh State Data Centre to review disaster preparedness and digital infrastructure in the region.

During the visit, detailed presentations were delivered by Stanzin Passang at the Emergency Operations Centre and Skalzang Dawa at the Ladakh State Data Centre, showcasing the technological advancements being implemented in the union territory.

At the Emergency Operations Centre, officials demonstrated integrated disaster management systems, live warning mechanisms, and an upcoming SMS-based alert system designed to ensure timely response and mitigation during crises.

Meanwhile, the presentation at the Ladakh State Data Centre focused on the secure hosting of government websites and applications, advanced cyber security measures, and automated mechanisms utilized for blocking unauthorized access and malicious activity.

The high-level visit highlighted the growing synergy and coordination between the Indian Army and the Ladakh administration.

This collaboration aims to strengthen disaster readiness, enhance cyber security defenses, and ensure the overall welfare of civilians living in the remote border regions.
