CISF conducts joint disaster management mock drill at Dulhasti dam

KISHTWAR, May 20, 2026 — The Central Industrial Security Force unit at the Dulhasti Hydroelectric Project organized a comprehensive multi-agency disaster management mock drill at the Dul Coy dam site.

The specialized exercise simulated a sudden flash flood scenario to test and validate the efficiency of the local early warning systems.

The emergency simulation saw active participation from several key stakeholder groups, including personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force, the State Disaster Response Force, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the Indian Red Cross Society.

National Hydroelectric Power Corporation employees and local media representatives also took part in the exercise to ensure seamless communication and execution.The joint operation focused on evaluating and strengthening inter-agency coordination, swift response times, and overall operational preparedness.

Participants practiced critical emergency protocols, focusing heavily on rapid rescue operations, orderly civilian evacuations, and the timely delivery of medical assistance during large-scale disaster situations.
