Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan reviews operational readiness at Central Command headquarters
LUCKNOW, May 20, 2026 :- Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan visited the Headquarters of the Central Command to review operational readiness and strategic planning.
During the visit, the Chief of Defence Staff held extensive discussions with Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Central Command, focusing on integrated capability development and professional military excellence.
As part of the visit, General Anil Chauhan addressed officers of the Surya Command and various formations under the Central Command utilizing a hybrid communication mode.
His address provided valuable perspectives on contemporary security challenges, the critical importance of jointness among the armed forces, overall operational preparedness, and the rapidly evolving character of modern warfare.
The Chief of Defence Staff also interacted with military veterans and members of STRIVE, expressing deep appreciation for their continued contributions toward nation-building, strategic thought, and maintaining a strong bond between serving personnel and the veteran fraternity.
